Welcome to Licorice and Lemon Drops Old Fashioned Candy Shop!
About Us
Licorice and Lemon Drops Old Fashioned Candy Shop began on somewhat of a whim when owner Natalie Knesek cashed in her last
paycheck in December of 2003.
Along with featuring over a dozen kinds of homemade candies and an additional 300 or more candies from the last twelve decades,
the store carries, American Girl™ Publications, Little Golden Books®, and Gund® Stuffed Animals.
We have learned to take our show on the road and are available to provide vendor exhibits at area events.
With the rising price of practically everything, and in an effort to conserve energy and costs,
we have relocated our store to the country.
Now located half way between Shiner and Gonzales down a County Road, we really will help you reminisce of days gone by as you
pass by cattle fields and chicken houses to find us.
Our hours vary with the seasons, but you can almost always reach us by phone.
We would love for you to drive out, but recommend calling first to make sure we are open.
If you call, leave us a message-- we may be busy making candy and just could not get to the phone in time!
Check the store news in the on line catalog for hours and places you can find us exhibiting.

Family and Consumer Sciences by the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences.
She holds a BS in Home Economics and an MS in Family and Child Studies.
After a decade of employment in educational and social service settings, Natalie took a chance on this little store,
that has grown to be a local favorite.
Aside from running Licorice and Lemon Drops, Natalie is a public speaker.
While child care providers are her most common audience, she is available to give presentations on a
wide variety of topics relating to children, families, and ownership of a small business.
